Now that gamma robert is happy

Uh ah oh...yes, we wi'll out ! We are such gamma lovers that we have had a # of them and are still smiling.
gC #1 has lived in AT for some months since being sold, having arrived there from DE (on french border), driven by Robert on its own power. Robert is currently residing quite far away and has not had much time to drive it since its arrival at his Haus in the Mountains. We, who owned it for years, drove it everywhere & will report....WHAT A CAR !

    Even for a Lancia....WHAT A CAR !

It lived in a ventilated non-heated garage; was pampered....especially its lovely leather interior. The "kids" loved to drive it; their Mom never tried; it was "real good with very low km when we got it, we made it better. It got a lot more km & hummed right along every time it was "on the road again & the timing was "correct"

gC # 2 was imported to DE from a non-Contintial Euro-Land - in sort-of bits & pieces manner; upon arrival it was not disassembled, since it had suffered water damage, extreme under-water water-damage, thus it was discarded. The rest (them good items) of it; the refurbished, improved, modified or replaced items - came to us on wrapped-sealed pallets. They were stored on various shelves in a warehaus for future ... I can't remember for what future, but they were high & dry.

gC # 3 arrived from much closer, having lived almost all of its life in a Italo-Car only Private-Museum. The best / the required bits to make gC # 3 roadworthy were taken off the shelf some motnths later. # 3 was driven to many places; other than some early fuel-feed problems - at wrong time in wrong place - it has been a joy.
It has always taken a backseat to #1 however; which was almost a daily driver (no snow though).since we loved it so much. # 3 also lived in luxury, being driven every now & then.

gC# 4 arrived from a few miles away; it was to become a "breaker"; it did not ... it was taken off our hands by the Gent who oversaw all tasks to make # 3 driveable with the "everythings" from #2. A fair swap for all involved.

    Today is the 1st semi-long trip for # 3 in 2+ years (30 miles round trip)....if I don't report within the next 48 hours...all is well.

    Oh, btw:
    # 3 has leather inners as well
our 20yr old Lancia Y Automatic gets 3x the mileage of the gC
& is fun to drive - short distances...
    but a gC it ain't .

HA HA HA SAID THE OLD-CAR "GREMLIN" LAFFING-CLOWN 'you thought this was going to be a "Piece of Cake", didn't you' AS THE LANCIA JOKER (not laffing) DROVE HIS USUALLY FAST gC # 3 AT 40MPH HOME, ON A HIGHWAY ALLOWING 42MPH OR LESS MPH APPROACHING -1 BRIDGE,1 TRAFFIC CIRCLE, 2 TRAFFIC LIGHTS - ALLOWING SPEED UP TO 62 MPH ON LONG STRAIGHTS ,,, ROAD WAS EMPTY - EXCEPT FOR JOKER.

ANY SPEED ABOVE 42 MPH (70KPM) WAS NOT SAFE.

2 TRIPS TO TIRE SHOP, 1 (rare) gC S2 WHEEL CHANGE, 1 TIRE SWAP FROM ORIGINAL S2 WHEEL TO NEW (old stock; used of course); + BALANCING ALL S2 WHEELS HAS RESTORED #3 TO ITS FORMER SMOOTH-RIDING GLORY. LR WHEEL INNER RIM WAS/IS NO LONGER AS ROUND AS IT ONCE WAS !! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN ? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN ? WAS IT DANGEROUS ? WAS SWAPPING IT REQUIRED ??? COULD HAVE "SHUDDERING" OF ENTIRE VEHICLE ABOVE 42 MPH BEEN ONLY A WHEEL BALANCE PROBLEM ? OR DID THE NOT-TRUE WHEEL INFLUENCE THE SMOOTNESS TO A LACK THEREOF ?

    I'M HAPPY THAT I KEPT S2 WHEELS FROM gC # 2?

HA HA, THE JOKER GOT THE LAST LAFF & IS SMILING, ALTHOUGH TODAY*'S CAR OF THE DAY IS A FIAT PUNTO !
