    Which TB would you keep?

Well, I start getting my 2 liter FI engine ready to stick into my Scorpion. The throttle body on the right is the one that was on the engine, seems like rodents built a nest in the air duct for the TB. The one of the left is one I just purchased. Which one would you keep? OK, I'm joking.

    LOL,

How are you going to mount the TPS and linkage?

    Thanks

I'm using the same mounting positions used by Lancia on their 2 liter FI engine, since I am using a Lancia 2 liter FI engine.

Will that setup clear the firewall? I have read that its pretty tight.

There are probably a dozen or more Scorpion/Monte Carlos running with this setup right now, some for years.

The throttle linkage part doesn't fit in a Scorpion, nor does the idle air adjustment screw, you have to trim it down. The throttle setup will collide with the shifter bracketry, and the idle screw hits the rear window sill.

See my blog for how I did it. I put the TPS on the throttle heater side, and modified the linkage to accept a cable pull.

So I thought the mod to the shift linkage was to clear these things, I guess I need to read the complete post.

The shift linkage mod creates room for the Hulk® sized plenum, the linkage bits on the pulley end won't fit and neither does the full length air screw.

Re: Which TB would you keep?

    Greg's definitely right on this.

The throttle linkage will need to be custom and the idle adjustment screw will be too long. You can either find a short screw from another TB which has a slot in it, modify it to the same configuration, or do a remote adjustment setup like I did.

This is what I built with a few pieces from Ace Hardware.

The end with the hose bit on it connected to a hose that went to an elbow that I mounted where the needle normally goes. Worked great.

Credit to Will Holding for the idea.
