Re: What tyres? S2 1600 Zagato on 6" Cromadoras

Thanks Ed, I was kind of thinking 175/80-14 similar to 1600HF?
    - but appears that size isnt available from Pirelli just now looking at the Longstone site, only XAS ( appears also to be options from Nanking, Yokohama etc but don’t know they would be suitable)

I run 165 80 14 on 6 j cromodoras on my 1600 sport no problem. It is the size specified for the 1600 sport. 175 14 80 may give minor clearance issues and over gear the car.

165/80-14 is indeed the original size for a Sport 1600, but of course the original wheels were 4-1/2" x 14" steel, not 6"-wide alloys. Again, I'm not saying it can't work; only that a 6" rim width is not correct per the tire manufacturer. I don't disagree that 175/80-14 will change the effective gearing and may have clearance issues.

why you dont fit steel whelels from a VW beetle 5.5x15 ET (offset) 34, pcd 4x130

you can run 175´s or even 185´s....choice of tyres is good as the wheel diamter is 15.

to remain the original circumfirence, the wheel profile will be narrow...giving a bigger choice of (modern) tyres and a better , more sportier, handling.

i think this has been done, but the fulvia relies on the taller sidewall as part of the suspension. low profile tires will make the ride too harsh for most people.
