I thought would dig a bit further and looked up the relevant patents (that's real boredom for you!) and they are quite different.
The De-carbon is a gas pressure olio type with a certain amount of springing inbuilt and the SPICA is a double acting reflex oil damper that is non pressurised.
Quite how the two types would compare back to back I don't know but it would be an interesting comparison test.
The thought did come to me about how many people have binned perfectly good SPICA dampers because they thought they should be pressurised.

Let me re-phrase that; NOT similar enough. Gas-pressure monotube type is correct for the Fulvia

I see you have the Fulvia coupe up for sale, you say you are concentrating on the Berlina, quite right too, a much better built car...! I have the old KPD 569K Berlina that has been owned by a few people on this forum and the club forum, if you happen to have an ignition key switch with steering lock etc, I would like that, mine has a Fiat one fitted and the on and off power postions are all wrong. Also it has a nasty Fiat key...

Do you have any other Fulvia parts by any chance? I am also after a working clock, I don't mind if it is a later quartz one from a S3 Fulvia or Fiat 124 etc, as I can put the guts into the Veglia non-quartz (and non-working) one I have for the Berlina. I have quite a few bits to sell/swap myself, new wheel bearings, brake master cylinder and more, if you wanted to swap anything? Thank you, Simon, in London.

Yes I have it up for sale at what I think is a sensible price for a sound coupe.
I had a few dealers after it that can see a profit in it but i have so far batted them away.
I have an ignition lock and key for sale on ebay at the moment, if you want to make an offer I will take it off fleabay.
I love the berlina simon, I will never make any money on it but thats fine by me!
I do have other berlina spares that could be swapped for stuff such as seats, lights and bits and bobs
