Starter Motor Replacement - S2 Fulvia

    Hi all,

my S2 Ducellier starter motor is just about beyond salvage (needs a new armature, pinion and full overhaul). Just the cost of sending it from Oz to one of the European/UK specialists is eye-watering and the local guys just look at it and shrug their shoulders

My research has thrown up WOSPerformance in the UK as a supplier of modern starters for Classic cars and they list model LMS176 as a suitable replacement. Check out their listing here
    http://www.wosperformance.co.uk/prod.../applications/

Has anybody had any experience with this?

I have no experience with WOSp other than third party stories of supplying the wrong thing initially. Their customer service is very good for a small company but with you being half way round the world from them you should try to get it right first time....

I put one of their starters (LMS333) in my S1 Fulvia Sport in 2017. It fit well and works very well. Nothing but good things to say about their product!

Thanks Graham. Just what I needed to hear.

Did you purchase from them directly or through one of their stockists?

I bought it from these guys:

    CCW-Tools, (a division of Classic-Car-World Ltd)
    32 Washingborough Road
    Heighington
    Lincoln
    LN4 1RE
    Tel: 01522 888178
    Fax 0870 705 9115
    e-mail: enquiries@ccw-tools.com
    URL: www.ccw-tools.com

That said, I think there are other resellers that give better pricing (I subsequently discovered!).

I did find CCW but found https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/ to be significantly cheaper. I’m just waiting for a response from them to my query.

Has anyone here dealt with them?
