    Question Beta Brake Pads

I found a box of O.E.M. FIAT pads. Part #82315603. Are these front Beta pads? Thx.

    Re: Beta Brake Pads

    82315603 are rear pads.
    82315602 are front pads.
The fronts are significantly thicker than the rears.

    Re: Beta Brake Pads

Front thickness on new pads is about double the rears. Also even though you can use worn fronts on the rear, to be proper they should have little "ears" on the back. Looks kind of like dual nubs that allow the parking bracket ratchet adjuster to function.

    Re: Beta Brake Pads

Don't sweat it Dave, you will need them eventually. I'm always on the look out for a set of Ferodo Beta pads. The ones with lots of esbestos in them. They work great and don't trash the discs as much.

Thx again Todd. You must have a Fiat/Lancia parts microfiche machine to I.D. all this!

    Re: Beta Brake Pads

    Hey Dave,
No, I don't have a microfiche. Over the years I've just collected parts lists as they appear. Many years ago a company in Tulsa , Oklahoma called Maduko Motori published a list of Fiat and Lancia parts that has been very handy over the years.
