    Replacement Camshafts 1600 HF

    Finaly after 40 years im dong a rebuild of my 1600 HF

    Any recommendations to improve perfomance over the standard cams

    Just about any modern cam will improve performance over a 45-YO design. The usual Fulvia parts suppliers all seem to have (or be able to get) good cams. But you have to decide what performance characteristics you want: top-end power or mid-range torque.

    And you will have to decide if you want to change just the camshaft or also everything else. Hairy cams demand hairy engine internals.

    Not necessarily; the 1600HF already runs 10.5:1 compression.

    yes but porting and larger inlet exhaust valves do help as does a Gp4 type manifold. Nothing much wrong with S2 cams....
