    S2 Coupe Colour

My car has been painted a Metallic Blue by the previous owner and I have at last found an area with still the original paint, It looks like a non metallic colour. The car is 1971 S2 Coupe South African Build can anyone guess what colour it is?

Does it not have the colour code label in the glove box?

    Re: S2 Coupe Colour

Have you looked in the download section as some of the colour charts might be useful. I'm only on a cheap chromebook and the colours on the screen look rubbish so can't really help much. It looks like azzurro francia, but I don't think that was a s2 colour (might be wrong).

I suppose the other issue is - how sure are you that the bit around the bulkhead or whatever that is, is original? Getting the dash off is probably the likely to be the best way as rarely did a respray go to those lengths.

The 1971 S2 blues were just blu Lancia (very dark blue) and blu Agnano (medium blue); later S2 ("Fulvia '3' ") had blu Antibes, which was a bit lighter. This looks like blu Antibes -- if it's the original color at all.

I think it is the original colour as the same colour is behind the instruments (thanks Cyborg7) however according to Paul Mayo's colour chart (in the download section) Blu Agnano started in 1973 and this car is 1971. Is Blu Agnano a straight non metallic colour?

It was introduced before the change to the '3'. The only lighter Fulvia blue is azzurro HF, which certainly isn't correct for a standard S2.

    Yes -- Agnano is non-metallic
