Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

    Engine was 818.540

Do you recognize the chassis number mentioned 818540002090?

    Cheers,

    UPDATE start post!

The chassis number matches that of the plate.

See my pictures and video. I did my best to make some pictures so please be gentle (I am not a fanalone expert)

Also pictures and video of the 1.3S.

I am not in any way involved in this auctions.

Thanks very much for keeping us posted on this, and for snooping around. I look forward to hearing the verdict from the Fanalone experts!

The photo set helps, but I still have some doubts about it; the missing 'triangoli' could simply mean a replaced front valence, and the slightly odd stamps could be legit. But I'd need to see it in person to be sure it's genuine.

    good photo set.

Am I being thick or is that an S2 front bump stop assembly?

Also out of interest what are the additional spiral wrap coverings going across the back axle??

about 1000 examples into the S1 1,3S Coupe/Sport production, the bump stop was relocated from the lower A-arm to the upper. All but the earliest Fanalones also have the upper stop

Yes but there are 2 types of upper. S2 (I do not know about very later S1) has a longer steel pressed spring housing that the bump stop bolts onto (see S2 parts book). S1 I understand from my own 1.3HF has a shorter pressed steel spring housing as per the S1 parts book stopping at the tower with bumpstop acting on the spring.

I would guess that the spiral wrapped thing across the rear axle is a handbrake cable. The original handbrake calipers are not there, and the whole handbrake system is probably not original.

That would make sense given the non standard hand brake lever in the cockpit...

Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

For anyone as curious as myself: I saw that the seller has advertised the car on other sites as well, and there is a little more information available there. E.g., on https://www.racedandrallied.com/rall...e-rallye-16-hf it says:

Engine: 1600 cc / 156 Hp equiped with dubbel “DELL ORTO” carburetors
Special gear box with straight gears.
    Koni suspension
This car is prepairded by an Lancia specilist in Trieste (IT) for more than € 25000 by the former owner.
It has an FIA passport nr 177HRCP0905
Winner 3 times round of Spain and raced in The Monte carlo historic.
I have bought this car in Tenerife ( Canary islands) by a lover who sold it due to illness.
I never raced the car and only used it for touring, but this car is a real race car and there is not so much fun for touring.
I bougt the car as it is now, and never repaird anything.
This is a real Fanalone with matching numbers and the aluminium hood / doors / trunk and plexi glas rear windows
