Rejuvenate Fulvia air filter - advice please

I was told recently that my (standard) air filter is dirty, which it should be given I've never planned it in six years of ownership. Is it the type that you wash and oil please? If so, any thoughts on what to use? Washing up liquid? Then engine oil? Rub it on? Thanks

No it's throwaway and replace, an easy job.

You could try to to air line the dust to clean but as Brian says replace if unsure. Not readily available though.

I should think they'd have them as well.

Manual says: "wash in petrol" (and most likely let it dry or blow it dry before immediate use ). But new ones are available.

Which manual? I think maybe the early S1 Berlina?

S1 workshop manual, page 01/34. I guess that is for the Berlina 1C indeed, but in the additions for the 2C and other they don't say otherwise.

As far as I'm aware the only washable filter was the huge oil bath filter fitted for dusty countries, which I think we've discussed on here before, if I remember correctly was a car from South Africa, then you would wash the filter in petrol and re-oil.
    What is the chassis number.
Do you have a photo of the air cleaner installation?
