    ignition switches

i recently picked up a set of those new door lock sets you see on ebay . they say suitable for all fulvia models. well we all know there's some differences in the keyway profile from s1 to s2 and it turns out these are the s2 profile. so my question is, is there a way to use a s2 ignition? i know the coupe has it on the column so not possible there, but is there any dash mounted ignition switch that uses the s2 profile?

I'd look for some used S1 door locks instead. Ask some of our reputable suppliers and get the right parts instead of switching out the super cool S1 ignition switch.

    Re: ignition switches

i won't be getting rid of the lancia switch, it's definitely part of the fulvia charm. i just was wondering if there were any with the s2 keyway that i could use. my other option is to take the locks apart and see if i can put the s1 lock barrels in the door locks.
i don't know if there is more than one supplier for the new door locks, they all look the same in the pictures, and the description is pretty vague. just says suitable for all fulvia models...

Can you post a photo of the S2 keyway? I have an S1 'push' switch with a non-S1 keyway

I don't have any genuine s2 keys, but I do have what I assume is the s2 profile on the new keys I have. The keyway seems to be exactly opposite of the s1 keyway. I'll post a picture when I get home later today. Hopefully I can capture the profile good enough.

    Re: ignition switches

here are the pics of the keyways. (poorly done sketch but gives the idea) i found it's pretty tough to get a picture of a keyway with a phone camera...
keys on the left are the new profile, key on the right is from a spare s1 ignition switch. for what it's worth, my white key won't go into the new locks either.
