Sebring wing mirror - novel modification

I am lucky enough to have an original Sebring mirror. Its great but the original mirror was very much worse for wear when I got the car and I replaced it some time ago with mirrored plastic which was excellent as a mirror but since it was a third of the way down the wing I couldn't see very much of the road. I always thought how good it would be to have a convex mirror, and I have looked online to see if such a thing existed. It didn't but does now in the form of educational science props (cost about £6):

The product (https://www.philipharris.co.uk/produ...100mm/b8a44453) comes with a clear tear-off protective covering and the quality of the mirror is good. I have now shaped it and stuck it to my mirror with good results. It will likely take a while for my eyes to learn to read the image in the mirror, and I can always go back to the regular mirror if its no good

    Interesting.

BTW, Sebrings are available with convex mirrors

The new versions of this classic mirror have a thicker plastic casing. Original ones are quite fine in their outer casing (1mm). The new ones look like they are about 3mm.
