Hello from The Netherlands, I am now the proud owner of a Fulvia Coupé - 1968

Hello Lancisti, Here I am again. I now actually have the Fulvia Coupé. See my first thread before I was an owner.

Picked up the Fulvia last Saturday and drove for 250km without any problems. (stopped twice and total travel time of 4 hours)
Eh no actually the car had problems with me...

This is my first classic car so I have to learn how to drive such a 50 year old car. It became really hot in the car although we had the windows open and the sun was burning through the not so tinted windows.
The gearbox was really tricky to operate if you compare it to the modern gearboxes obviously.
The gears vertical H lines are close to each other and I had guide the stick in a nice straight line into the gears...
Gently leading the gearstick into the gears. Sometimes only from 2nd to 3rd I want to change gears to quickly. And I have to press the clutch pedal firmly to the ground to proper change gears.

Oil pressure and coolant temperature were excellent in the hot weather. As far as I know coolant was just above 70°C and oil pressure at 4000rpm at 4.8, idle just above 0. But that is also no surprise because the Coupé was almost fully restored in Italy with new and old components. Basis was a rust 'free' and accident free Fulvia. (I far as I can see and advertised) She came 2018 to The Netherlands.

I life in the 'Hilly' part of The Netherlands and on Monday I drove through the hills up and down sometimes a longer stretched road and it was beautiful weather the sun was shining on the car and a smile appeared on my face.... this experience is why a bought this car...

I have so much plans... translating the Italian documents, searching what that mystical knob is for (see my other thread) and cleaning it... I must maintain it well to try to keep it in its current state. I will mostly drive it with nice weather (no rain).
In the winter time she will sleep in a proper inside environment.

Congrats! Your Fulvia looks delightful. I live in the upper (flat) part of the Netherlands.
Can we see your Lancia at the Concours d' Elegance in Apeldoorn June 30?

    Herman
