Boot floor seal - Fulvia S1 Rallye

It appears that there is no seal between the boot floor and the inside of the rear wings on my Series 1 Coupe, probably a remnant of a repair to rear damage before my ownership.

As I have always suffered fumes inside this car, this may be a cause, so can anyone tell me what sort of seal should be there? Is it a rubber gasket or just seam sealant?

    Thanks in advance.

    Nick

Nick on our `71 Series 2 1.3S Coupe there is a rubber strip but only on the fuel filler side. Our 1965 Giulia Ti (Alfa Romeo) has nothing and just relies on a very close fit between floor and guard.

Thanks for the info. I can feel a more thorough investigation coming on.
