    Lazy rev Counter

I seem to have a lazy rev counter on my evo 1. Although It does work, it only revs to around 3000rpm although the car is revving much higher. It is also very slow to get to 3000. All the other gauges are fine, I have checked the signal wire from the coil and checked my earths, all of which seem fine. I even bought a spare set of evo clocks as I was convinced that it must be a faulty rev counter but these read the same. Its really frustrating me now and I don't seem to be able to get any answers, Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Martyn

    Re: Lazy rev Counter

The potentiometer in the tachmeter gauge has expired.

What you need to do is open up your tacho and replace it with a new item. It is a bit of a mess, I can post up photos of what I did to replace mine if need be.
