    Re: Flavia photo thread

No, I have no Flavia (only a lot of bits and pieces) but I do have a 1st series Fulvia Coupé and 2 S3 Appia berlinas.
Years ago I had 3!!! Flavia Sports and 1 815 Berlina. The Sports were sold in Holland and the 815 is still in the LCB club.

    Giovanni,
Was it you with the beautiful Berlina who organised our stay in Mondovi in 2013, when we were on the Fulvia Knights Rallye to celebrate the a Fulvia 50th Anniversary?

    Re: Flavia photo thread

Thanks Hubert. I used to own the Flavia some years ago before I had the ability to restore it and it was a partially stripped rolling shell basically so sold it when we moved house but my son bought it as a surprise some years later after it had been rebuilt. The colour originally was a light gray with a light brown interior however the previous owner painted it a Maserati charcoal which I like, with a light brown alcantara interior. Not factory standard I know but it looks good and faithful to Lancia loosely.
The Fulvia was bought new in New Zealand by a Doctor who kept it until he died at the age of 97. It is extremely rare to have a NZ new Lancia as these cars were extremely expensive and few were imported anyway. The colour -Mirebelle Beige is pretty rare it seems worldwide and is actually a light green. Especially unusual is the fact that we had a series 3 (UK raised headlamps/white gauges) Fulvia coupe in exactly the same Mirebelle Beige that we ultimately sold.Maybe it was a slow selling colour in Europe and so New Zealand ended up with a large proportion of Fulvias in this colour.
We like this colour and think it suits the lines.
Interestingly the comparison between the cars revealed the Flavia to be as quick as the Fulvia (series 2 1.3S) but the Fulvia when driving it seems a little sharper in change of direction and the engine more eager in that it revs so easy and revs higher. It is however a car that you tire of quickly as there is very little torque and you seem to have to drive hard all the time. This might be due to the 123 distributor setting (both Flavia and Fulvia have them but the Fulvia`s is programable and we have left it at the factory setting at this stage but we prefer the Flavia, a sophisicated relaxed car that feels a quality car and is an excellent open road fast tourer but can match it with the Fulvia when it needs to.....
