Bumperless - how to mount front turn signals?

I would like to take my front bumper off to try the look for a while, but realized that I need a place to mount the front turn signals.

I've noticed that it seems like many people who don't have a front bumper have placed the turn signals to either side of the front, such as in this photo:

Are there kits to set them up this way or is everyone just jerry-rigging them in?

I used standard indicator from bumper and judiciously adjusted the metal brackets to fit a slightly oblong enlarged hole trimmed with some 3mm u channel and stainless coach bolts/nylon washers to fix in place.

Re: Bumperless - how to mount front turn signals?

This post made me go out and look at my S1. I am in the US and don't have any turn signals on the front - just the side signals that seem like they might wrap around a bit more than the S2 side signals. I do have bumpers installed. I wonder if anyone can see my turn signals from the front? Seems like a better design on the S2.

All S1 Coupés have the combination indicator / side markers. You can see the indicator from straight on (and that side), but obviously not as well from off center.

Here's how Lancia mounted the indicators on the Montecarlo, which was bumperless from the factory. You can see the enlarged opening with a rubber weather strip, and the bracket that holds the indicator from the inside.

Please disregard the dirty car, dead flies and bad photos, I just stepped into the dark garage this morning and snapped the pictures

Re: Bumperless - how to mount front turn signals?

Thanks guys! I think I'll just have to take the bumper off and see what the size of things are and potentially rig the lights in there. I figured there'd be some solution that I wasn't finding to convert these.
