Re: Fuel line size 78 Beta Sedan

Yw Jim, glad I could help. The return line would be the smaller one (if one of them is smaller). Just use the 5/16 hose, its readily available.
As far as the pump, if it ain't broke...

Re: Fuel line size 78 Beta Sedan

It doesn't really matter. Usually just use the fancy braided stuff where people are gonna see it, maybe for shows, etc.
You can just use 5/16 rubber fuel line for carb cars. Doesn't have to be that...

Congrats. Glad it worked out and thanks for sharing the tips with all.
I didn't see this earlier, but as an aside for those trying to do this with stock parts, there is another way too. Rather than...

    Re: Engine dies. Boo.

Check the battery negative cable is good first. Actually that the battery and its connections are clean and without defect. Then fuses. I can't recall which but I think there is one that can cause...

  6. For Sale: Re: Lancia Beta and Scorpion/Montecarlo body stuff for sale

Do you happen to have a good front trunk lid for Scorpion?

I have a good Zagato hood (engine cover) to trade if that helps any.

Craig's List: Re: Restored Beta Coupe, nicely done

I found them in Brian Long's book, "Lancia Beta". They can also be found in the factory shop manual. I believe in the Haynes manual, and depending on which version you have, may even be in the...

That was a great feature, thanks Johnny! I remember finding myself surprisingly looking forward to reading those feature interviews. Perhaps it is time to make all old new again. I also always...

Re: Lancia Clubs in the USA

Yeah, I know. I've been a member of the ALC, just can't always find an event I can actually make it to. At one time there was talk of organizing local drives, but I think that kind of fizzled. Guess...

Re: Lancia Clubs in the USA

It was, ahem, a while ago. Maybe around 1990? I guess it made a bit of an impression. I ran into the same fellow a couple times later through similar car interests but we did not repeat our initial...

    Re: Lancia Elephant emblems ciolour?

Bravo Ed. Good finding that. That was essentially the point I was trying to make, is that it was used prior to the early 60's referenced above. I think I remember reading it first in Brian Long's...

Re: Lancia Clubs in the USA

    Excellent points Paul!
This reminds me of my experience, including the first time I saw another Lancia on the road (mini-market parking lot actually). It was a late Fulvia. The owner then proceeded...

    Re: Lancia Elephant emblems ciolour?

It actually predates all of these. It was used earlier in racing as a mascot and later adopted by club and then with more recent commemorative models and keychains.

Front thickness on new pads is about double the rears. Also even though you can use worn fronts on the rear, to be proper they should have little "ears" on the back. Looks kind of like dual nubs that...

Could these be done in black or dark brown to match what was used most, or do they have to be in blue from the process?

Did you take the motor apart too? Clean out all the gunk, regrease, and clean and attend to power connections. It may not be getting enough juice either.
