Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

Wow, that's some serious money. I never new how lucky I was, getting a good used subframe for less than a quarter of what the Rosso Corsa website says. But then again, I don't plan to compete in...

Re: Rear shock absorbers, Fulvia Coupe

I did remember correctly. I just checked the Viarouge (De Carbon patent) shocks I got from Huib.
  3. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

Don't let it idle, just get going, but keep the revs low. The old rule of thumb is not to exceed 3000/min with cold oil. I find that hard sometimes with the Fulvia, as my Montecarlo uses the Berlina...
  4. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

to add to Ed's comment: the cold weather setting is to avoid carb icing. But the Fulvia carbs are not very prone to icing anyway, so even in cold weather it isn't urgently needed.

Re: Rear shock absorbers, Fulvia Coupe

I meant to check yesterday, but forgt. Now I'm not near my car...
But if I remember correctly, they're not upside down, the piston is at the top. Since the bottom of Fulvia rear shocks is cranked,...

    Re: Lancia Fulvia Electric

    Jonathan,
maybe you can talk to the guys at historicracing.de in Berlin, Germany. Not only are they Fulvia experts and very friendly, but as a side project they've built an electrified Fiat 500!...

    Re: fulvia doors

They got a new part number for S2, so Lancia didn't simply use the identical part. But I could't point out the differences.
My experience is that without adaption, you can't even expect to swap one...

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

that's generally a good idea for rust prevention in the sills, along with additional holes on the bottom to let water out again. I've seen it rather often. Fortunately, being a Montecarlo, my car...

Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

I seem to remember there are several threads in this forum that describe the procedure - can't be that long ago. One of them has been linked to above. One consensus was (2nd hand information, I...

Re: Distributor for 1972 Lancia Flavia 2000

the 123 is an excellent solution if you want something that works without any hassle whatsoever. I have it in my Fulvia, and a friend has it in his Flavia 2000. It's as close to "fit and forget" as...
  11. Wanted: Re: series 2 windshield washer pump for my Fulvia, and.....

the parts catalogue shows the assembly on Tav. 66A. While it's not clearly visible, the depicted pump looks more like the expensive one to me. What's more important (I think) is that there is an...

    Re: Fanalone Rear Suspension Modification

Probably not - but I remember that where I got the photo from, it was a Fanalone.

That's interesting. Still makes you wonder why it was retained.
I'll continue to try and find the source of...

    Re: Sudden loss of spark

My first guess would be the coil. If not that, stepping through all ignition components one by one seems like the obvious route. I'd go from "easy to check" to the more difficult. Something broken in...

    Fanalone Rear Suspension Modification

    Dear Experts,
I found a photo online that stirred my curiosity. It shows a Fulvia where the rear suspension has been modified by adding coil springs to the leaf spring. I saved the picture at the...

    Re: Tyre advice

As Taddrraughn pointed out, both is somewhat wrong today, but especially if you're going with the Cinturato, the better choice should be to opt for tubes. The decision which way to go is easy over...

Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

The general consensus is that fully synthetic is good after a full rebuild, but not for a used engine. The detergents may loosen old muck that has been deposited, bring it back into circulation, and...

this has been discussed, with adverse opinions. But the argument against fully synthetic modern oils does not apply any longer - at least that case is convincing to me: It used to be that the GL4 and...

    Re: Yet another Tire Question....

175 are the original size on the 6*14 alloys. So I stick with those. Note that on non-HF/Montecarlo shells, even 175 may foul the wheel arches if they re not rolled. While the period correct Michelin...
