It must have been pretty noisy to fail the
Goodwood test at the track day, no standard Fulvia exhaust should have failed that.
Brian
Hi Marnix,
What plugs are you using in your 2c?
Brian
Thank you Thor,
If I can't replace it, I might well take you up on your very kind offer.

Just had my 2c in for service and asked to test the heater motor, although they didn't remove it or the housing, they think the motor has had it, I'll have to check it again with the housing and fan...
Thanks everyone, this time of the year my Fulvia only gets out a, couple of times a month, so I shall have to see if I can borrow a friends Garage, my garage isn't big enough to work in, and it's too...
Thanks everyone for the very good advice, I'll keep you posted.
Must admit I hadn't considered the switch.
Brian
Thanks Hubert, but the fan runs when connected direct to the battery but not when in its proper placeπ€
Incidentally it is a single speed motor.
Brian
Thanks,
It's a metal housing but the motor is mounted on 3 pillars that are hard rubber, the colours of the wires aren't an issue, I had to add them as the Flaminia motor doesn't have any wires...
Great news,
Now can anyone offer advice on my problem with the heater motor on my 2c Berlina.
The Berlina is different in having a housing containing the in line fan on the top of the firewall...
We were using nylock nuts in General motors, Vauxhall Bedford, certainly in the 1970's, and possibly earlier.

My old rollers used to stick when it was hot resulting in the pedal sticking down.
I've had roller bearings fitted for about 15 years now with no problems.
Great improvement.

Never removed it on my Fulvia but have on other cars over the years, and in those cases you could undo from the instruments, then pull the inner out, if it was broken youd only get a portion of the...
Try pulling out the inner cable as it sounds like it might have broken.

Sorry Marnix, my error, No 1 is of course the Bush, and as you say 6 is the insert. π
Brian
Marnix,
As I understand it the bushing besides supporting the considerable weigh of the carburettors, helps insulate the engine vibrations to stop frothing, I think without the sleeve the stud will...
Don't forget the sleeve item '1' otherwise the Bush will be ruined very quickly.
Brian
They look very smart.
Don't think anyone in the UK supplies them.
Brian
Must admit, I doubt I'd have thought about the choke.
Why not try a set of Dellorto DH35LA's.
I have Dellorto 32DHLB's fitted to my 2c, and they very rarely need tuning, as well as running nicer...
AWESOME ππ.
Your a great inspiration to all of us.
What's the next project!!!!!

Having just carried out an inspection for the Lmc of a series 1 Fulvia 1.3 Rallye Coupe, for dating purposes for the Dvla, so the car can be registered in the UK and given an age related number plate...
Not that I'm aware of, I thought all, at least series 1 had rubber mats.
If you have a Lhd I'd go for rubber mats.
If you own A RHD you have no option but to find an alternative as RHD mats...
Pleased to hear I'm not the only one who swears At securon 3 point static belts.
My 2c when I found her had Irvin lap belts, and as I didn't fancy head butting the steering wheel, I went for the...
Probably missed a post somewhere, but are you fitting an electric cooling fan now you can't run a belt off the alternator.?
Love your workmanship.
You probably know already but make sure you well...
Thank you Marnix,
Very useful information.
I remember when remote servoes first came into general use in the early 1960's and even seen some with 2, I assume one to each front and rear circuit,...
