    Re: Does this belong

My car has that brake limiter but it shouldn't be bolted to the subframe, mine is bolted to the bulkhead.

Re: Dash Removal on an S1

The wood on a series 1 is plastic with a wooden veneer, its held in place by the two knurled nuts on the odometer reset and light dimmer and there is another one on the rear at the other side which...

    Re: fulvia doors

There are different locks on early doors, which correspond to different receivers on the doors. It's not as simple as replacing them because the holes on the doors and body shell don't line up.
    The...

    Re: Oil be damned

Are there two different types of these available? Because series 1 canisters have a different bolt orientation than series 2. I know this because my s1 canister was pretty ropey and I took a better...

    High tick over

I've had this issue for a while but whilst it's running pretty well I cannot get the rpm below 1400 rpm. Timing is set at 8°advance carburettors are balanced and plugs are an nice brown colour and...

    Re: clunking conundrum

I've seen two different widths of series 1 shafts. I assumed the thicker shaft was from early cars and the thinner shaft from a later series.

    Re: clunking conundrum

In my experience this is fairly normal, when tightening I replaced a bearing recently it wasn't until I had the joint properly torqued up that everything came togeather.

    Re: clunking conundrum

I swapped out driveshafts on series 1 by undoing hub nut and the bolts around the gearbox flange, it was a tedious job but once all bolts were out the shaft passed through the subframe towers easily...

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

I have seen evidence of them failing but as said the quality of the work is key to the success, the company I used were very experienced in the procedure, classic car brakes is all they do.

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

I got my Dunlop cylinders relined by a UK company and although they took longer than expected I'm very happy with the added bonus thet the lining is stainless and far cheaper then new.

    Re: Wheel bearing replacement

I didn't torque the inner ring unfortunately, do you think I'd I torqued that it would be sufficient to tighten the bearing?

    Wheel bearing replacement

At the risk if derailing the previous thread I decided to open a new one, I replaced a wheel bearing last weekend which I sourced from Rosso Corsa. When I tried to remove the retaining nut it...
  19. Re: Fulviasport 1.3S 2.S drivetrain questions and issues

Steering bar is 100% the wrong way around and needs to be changed before you drive it again, a friend of mine broke a 4 speed box for that very reason.

I had a similar experience, the joint was clunking when I brake and clunked back when I set off again. This gradually got worse until I replaced the drive shaft with a spare that I refurbished. I'm...

Re: Fuel filler pipe series 2 Fulvia Sport

I misplaced my series 1 part and used a series 2 pipe on my series 1 car and it fits fine.
Found the original after and have it in reserve for when the nylon one inevitably fails.

Re: rallye 1.3s brake pedal go to the ground

There are only two nuts holding the master cylinder to the pedal box and the couple of brake unions leading from the cylinder to the calipers, 20 mins will have it off.
  25. Re: Fulvia Rallye 1.3S "special edition" ? Anyone know of such ?

That's true, I've driven my fulvia this year for the first time since getting it ten years ago, however the anticipation must be killing you.
Make it all the more worthwhile when it does arrive.
