Re: Source for Interior Door Parts

Both the large (34) and small (33) water guards are rubber
  2. Re: Where is the body number on a South African S2 Coupe

Interesting. The next question is, did Lancia send stamped chassis plates with the CKD 'kits'?

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

    Looks great!

Are you going to leave the valve cover 'raw', like an S2, or go with black crackle?

    '81 Coupé ZLAEC00C5B0612722

Per the title, does anyone have 1981 Coupé ZLAEC00C5B0612722 ? If so, I ran across some old title docs and spare keys, including an original door key. Free to the appropriate home...
  5. Re: Where is the body number on a South African S2 Coupe

I think it's very unlikely that Diahatsu did their own panel stamping. If they did not do so, the question boils down to this: was the 'CKD' in the form of built-up shells (per Tav. 68 / 68A / 68B),...
  6. Re: Where is the body number on a South African S2 Coupe

Why would Lancia have sent unstamped chassis to SA? They were CKD, but that doesn't mean raw metal components. If they didn't already have chassis numbers assigned and stamped, how would the SA...

    Re: Fulvia 3 carb question

There were different versions of the 1298cc engine, and they ran different carbs and choke sizes. For the late S2 1,3s, the Fulvia '3' (818.303 engine) runs C35 PHH-23 with 31mm chokes, while the S2...
  8. Re: Where is the body number on a South African S2 Coupe

Subframes, gearboxes and rear axles all have riveted plates with type and serial numbers. The engine type & serial is stamped into the rear flange. But other than possibly by extraordinary chance, no...

Re: Rear shock absorbers, Fulvia Coupe

DeCarbon (or DeCarbon licensee) dampers are gas-pressure monotube -- single tube with exposed piston shaft; they mount with the piston (and rubber dust shield) down. Typically the dust shield has a...
  13. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

I completely agree with Bernt. Don't let it idle to warm up; just drive at (relatively) low revs for the first few minutes

Re: Hood Trim on S1 1.3S

For whatever reason, the brochures aren't under the model downloads; they're under "Articles, Advertisements & Marketing Materials", 1,3S here:...
  15. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

Most have by now lost the exhaust "chimney" and ducting to the "I" port on the airbox snorkel. But it was indeed for cold weather use -- 'Winter' in Italian is 'Inverno'.

Re: Hood Trim on S1 1.3S

According to the factory brochures and parts catalogues, all S1 1,3S have the full-length strake; all S2 have the rectangular "1,3S" emblem.

Re: Whaoooo....What caused this ugly spark plug?!

I've been running iridium plugs for years; they solved the problem of fouling I was getting with copper plugs. Having rebuilt the engine, perhaps I wouldn't now be having fouling issues, but I see...

  19. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

I prefer following the rules, too. But this is the sort of thing that ridiculous policy produces. And the legal question is mostly one of timing. If instead of waiting 3 months, you only waited a...

    Re: Rear brake porportioning valve

I'm with DJ here. Modifying factory braking systems should be done only when there's a good engineering reason -- like the Scorpion front brakes, and even then it should involve an engineered...
  21. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

For a car of this vintage, the issue with importing into CA isn't CARB; any pre-1976 model is exempt from smog check. The problem for a 1968 or later is the Federal safety standards, which were...

    Re: Colors/Colours

Metallic paint was not sprayed over a nonmetallic undercolor. So it's likely you're looking at an original color -- one which I can't identify. It looks like azzurro Parioli, but I can't find a...
  24. Re: Hello from a soon to be 1970 Fulvia 1.3 S2 Owner - Daily Driver?!?

If the mechanicals and electrics are well-sorted there's no reason a Fulvia couldn't handle that commute as a daily.

Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

I also have the following pairs, which I believe to be original:

    chassis 1377 / engine 1442
    chassis 1645 / engine 1724
chassis 1871 / engine 1804 (engine 'earlier' than chassis)

    Where I see...
