    Re: Spark Plugs again

Do you know if it is recommended to use the Bosch super plug in my standard 1200? They are about a third of the price of the iridiums that are in there now. Not that's a big deal because the mileage...

    Re: crusty oil filler

    Job done.
Someone did weld it shut for me. It is not pretty but there can not get / fall more rusty bits into the engine.:encourage:
  5. Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

Does anyone have an idea if this is a proper filter for the Fulvia (1.2)?

This Bosch P3012 is cross reference (written on the paper box) to Fram PH 3569 and Mann W940/25. I understood this 2...
  6. Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

    It is a BOSCH P3012.
  7. Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

Okay so I did measure with a complete cold engine. 12 hours not running.
With a cold engine, I think the level should be between min and max. or?!

    I did change the filter.

    I think I know were...
  8. Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

This is exactly after 1.743 km of driving the Fulvia. Not in one way btw. :D (3 months since oil change)
  9. Re: Oil and oilfilter change for the first time?!

Changed the oil but found out that there is to many oil in the engine now. I put in 4.3 liters.

The manual for the 1.2 from 1966 says 4 liter but the manual from 1967 says 4.3 liters of oil!?

    Re: crusty oil filler

Yes, I think you are right. The orientation of oil vapour the outlet is different. The canister is not from a Fulvia engine.

And I don't know from which engine the canister came.

    But I think I...

    Re: crusty oil filler

I got hold of another oil filler/vapour canister.
    But this one is different?!
It is welded at the bottom.
Has no steel wool inside. (there is nothing inside)
Has a mesh in the vapour outlet tube....

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

In the Lancia brochure it says:
"Heat insulation and deadening of passenger compartment is ensured by 80 kg of felts and anti-droining material."!
Hence they skipped it at the Fanalone.

    Re: crusty oil filler

Edge of lip is like a saw blade now with cracks in it. Used to much force.
I will have a go to hammer back what is left of the lip. But it will leak as hell I...

    Re: crusty oil filler

I want to do this also tonight to the breather of my Fulvia.

What tools did you use to get that lip bend out and again in to close the lip?
    Looks very smooth.
Do you have pictures of the tools?

Reading this thread for the first time since I had my Fulvia a year ago makes me think why we haven't sticky threads on the forum?
Is it possible to make sticky threads?

    Re: Oil be damned

Ah okay but what is in there?

I like to do it myself. It is part of the fun of having a classic car. I costs me only time and 50 cents of stainless steel.

By the way, it is funny that someone...

Can you point me to the threads on how to replace the wool with stainless steel.
    I can not find them.
  20. Re: Black coating in boot area - fulvia coupè?

I think it was painted satin black at the factory. I saw 15 Fulvia's S1 on the internet and all have black boot color.
Maybe they changed it in production somewhere in time?
