  1. Re: Wanted: Lancia Fulvia HF e tutte le altre Fulvia book

That's a good price for what appears to be the hardcover.

    Re: Rosa Mirabello?

It's hard to accurately tell the color under fluorescent lighting, but it doesn't appear to be bronzo Ascot met.; it appears to be either bronzo Windsor met. or rosa Mirabella met.

  4. Re: Gold Fulvia Wheel Cromadora Campagnola paint code

My DuPont fleet color guide is positively ancient, so I imagine the codes may have changed, but the remaining original paint on mine (since refinished in silver) was closest to what my chart shows as...

    Re: 50th anniversary restoration

If you powder-coat the valve cover, make sure it's bolted down to a substrate before it goes into the oven; otherwise the heat can warp it.

  7. Re: Gold Fulvia Wheel Cromadora Campagnola paint code

Tim, As I said on the other thread, I don't think anyone has the definitive answer on the paint code

    Re: 50th anniversary restoration

It has been discussed before, but I don't recall anyone having a definitive answer. But in any case, the original Campagnolo gold was paler and more yellow than the replicas seem to be using.

    Re: 50th anniversary restoration

    What a great project!

I don't know the RAL codes for the stripes; I'm not sure anyone knows them for the Fulvia. I only have them from the late '80s in Glasurit; yellow: LAN 2002 / blue: LAN...

Re: What tyres? S2 1600 Zagato on 6" Cromadoras

165/80-14 is indeed the original size for a Sport 1600, but of course the original wheels were 4-1/2" x 14" steel, not 6"-wide alloys. Again, I'm not saying it can't work; only that a 6" rim width is...

Re: What tyres? S2 1600 Zagato on 6" Cromadoras

You can fit a 165-14 XAS on a 6" rim, but the reason some of us say you shouldn't is that it's outside the manufacturer's recommended range. Per Michelin's website, for the 165-14 min. rim size is...

    Re: Front wheel drive!?

About a year ago I had the opportunity to drive a 'loaner' S1 1,3S on a 3-day event. In stock trim a Fulvia is a dream to drive, and has enough power for the vast majority of the driving most people...

Re: Two quick steering wheel questions.

Can't answer question #1, but as far as #2 is concerned, I suspect that Nardi uses the same 6-screw pattern as the Ferrero.

    Re: Front wheel drive!?

I always describe the Fulvia's handling as viceless; it's just very direct, very predictable, and simply no torque steer. Even with 150bhp / 150 ftlbs there is none. It just goes where you point it....

    Re: FIrst Drive in Anger

I don't doubt the power output figure. You've brought the engine up to, or slightly better than 1,3HF spec. And with lighter pistons, better balancing, better cams, and modern lubricants, you ought...

    S1 1,3 : 818.302 engine with 9.0:1 compression.
    S1 1,3S : 818.303 engine with 9.5:1 compression.
All three run 10/37 final drive.

    Re: Intake funnel set

Long trumpets optimize low-speed airflow, and therefore improve torque; minimal, radiused trumpets optimize air volume, and therefore increase top-end power.

But as Tim correctly suggests, the...
