    Re: fulvia doors

Theoretically, the only significant difference between S1 and S2 doors is the latching, which can be modified. As a practical matter, the aluminum stamping technology of the time meant that S1 alloy...

For Sale: Re: Lancia Fulvia S2 Coupe Original Dashboard

The only difference between S1 and S2 dashes is that the S2 has a radius cut to clear its column-mounted ignition switch

For Sale: Re: Lancia Fulvia S2 Coupe Original Dashboard

Someone should snap this up; it's incredibly hard to find an original one in this condition.

    Re: Carbs

Unless you're running on a track, do not run open trumpets. Adding foam 'socks' will protect the cylinders and also help with the 'lean' condition.

Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

    Your C-clamps may vary...

Yes -- I'm not speaking of 4" Asian-made 'paper clips'; the pair I used could double as anchors for a small boat.

Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

Obviously opinions differ. I used a pair of 12" C-clamps -- one on each side of the spring both for redundancy and for containment of the spring against any lateral shift. For me, a bottle jack and...

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

They saved about 25 kg by using acrylic instead of glass, side & rear. And the windshield is thinner, as are the brake rotors. No door jamb lights, and driver's-side only courtesy light switch. And...

Re: Taddraughn's Fulvia Coupe: Progress Thread

To save weight, Fanalones were built with no sound deadening at all. So when I redid my interior a dozen years ago I added Dynamat in the floor (road noise & exhaust heat) and the roof (solar heat);...
  10. For Sale: Re: Rare Book “The Lancia Fulvia and Flavia” by W Weernink

Just so I'm clear, their price has absolutely no connection to reality, which is why that copy has been on eBay for literally years.

    Good luck with yours.
  11. For Sale: Re: Rare Book “The Lancia Fulvia and Flavia” by W Weernink

The German copy for $667 is beyond wishful thinking -- it's not a valid price comp; copies have sold recently for a fraction of that

There's some latitude with the splines, but you can't be too aggressive with the lengthening.

Re: Lancia Clubs in the USA

There's no compelling reason why the ALC has only West Coast and East Coast reunions -- or only West Coast and East Coast VPs. So there's absolutely no reason why the guys in between can't organize...

Re: Carb Upgrade - S3 Fulvia

That's right. With the engine rebuilt to street compression (10.5:1), the 38mm venturis weren't ideal, so I'm running the standard street 36mm. But I'm still experimenting, so I may try 37s...

I asked because the ALC has been better in recent years. There was a VX-engine Scorpion at last month's West Coast Reunion. There's no changing some people, but times and minds do change

    Re: Lurching/surging carb (?) problem.

6 psi is too much fuel pressure; you really don't want more than about 4.5 psi. I can't say that this is your problem, but it may be related.

Re: Is It Wrong - Twin Lights

The quad headlight set-up was US spec. I believe Adan Figueroa at LaLancia.com has a NOS set, as well as the acrylic covers. If you can't find them on his web site, contact him by email.
