    Is your engine with an inverted oil filter?? If so the oil is draining out possibly... Not good for starting up if that is the case...

    To be fair there should be a spacer tube that the top nut locks down onto.

    I think it is M10 from memory but some shock absorbers have a locking double nut so it is not a problem just do up till...

    Have you qualified this by running a hot engine for 5km at 4500 and stopping and looking at the plugs. Unless the spark plugs are white maybe you have a poor calibration....

    If you use wellseal this is non setting so you will be able to reuse gaskets. It is also petrol soluble for cleaning and and sealant excess on the inside get washed into the engine.

    Move the stalk down for dipped and slightly pull the stalk for main. It is very subtle first time....

    Switch is a bit of a nightmare and wires are know to fall off their soldered joints....

    IMHO Avoid C clamps.

    With suspension on max droop put a small block of hard wood either side of the drive shaft and use a small 1 ton bottle jack under the spring. When the spring is jacked up...

    Is the 4th plug "wet" after running a bit showing no firing but petrol?

    Can you put a "colour tune" into the spark plug hole to see what combustion you are getting?

    Does the 4th cylinder work...

    Bleu Mendoza was Max Meyer 1.346.7189. This was what I would call cellulose.

    Lechler who now own Max Meyer should do a single coat (ie not 2 pack or lacquer version) - see attached

    sorry but yes. Especially as Fulvias encourage enthusiastic driving sometimes on unmade roads.... I would not use Aluminium.
