    Re: Carbs

When I fitted DDHF42's to my 1200HF engine it proved a pain to set up the mixture correctly as there is no known set-up to start with. To make matters worse the fact that you have to remove the...
  2. Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

Now I see that the thread is for a Berlina s2. Does the S2 has tubular top wish bones or stamped steel wish bones like the later S2 Coupe's?
If stamped the shortening is easy. Slot the holes 5,5mm...
  3. Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

I would say; definitely YES! It is an improvement as much for looks as it is for steering and cornering ability. When combined with decent shocks and tyres ( I havent tried a negative camber...
  4. Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

I have done this modification on the 1600FSZ of a friend. No problems whatsoever. You will have to move the lower ball joint point to the front as well as the 1600 geometry has more caster angle.
  5. Re: lowering front suspension of fuliva berlina s2

I have always liked the Fulvia Berlina but not so much for its stance. When compared the the Giulia TI it always looks too senior, too serious, and much slower.
And if you want to change the stance...

    Re: Oil be damned

The replacement of the 'engine life limiting' original canister filling is fairly easy. Peel the formed lip open to be able to remove the top with the filler neck. Remove all the metal rubbish...
  7. Re: Heavy Duty Paint for 1600HF Cylinder Block

I have used regular 2K paint. Over 2K epoxy primer. It has lasted 12 years so far.

    Re: Fanalone Rear Suspension Modification

I have to agree with Ed. A softer than stock spring rate improves the steering of the Coupe. My Hf coupe rides on composite leaf springs for about 10 years now and the rears are to be honest a tad to...

    Re: Engine dilemma

You have several options all costing time and money. If you want to keep the 4 speed box, it might be cheaper to search for a 1300 S1 engine as boring and buying 1300cc pistons is quite expensive. On...

    Re: Replacement Camshafts 1600 HF

And you will have to decide if you want to change just the camshaft or also everything else. Hairy cams demand hairy engine internals.

    Re: Fulvia 1,3 HF

    Great job Tor!
I think you deserve the perseverance award!
My car did not have the Fispa as it is an early car but I fitted one as my car did not have a return line and I fitted DDHF42's. They can...
  12. Re: Fulvia front suspension rubbers and bushes

I have fitted a roller instead of the rubber bushing. Lower and with more feel. And durable as it has done about 20.000Kms without any problems. Picture shows the first slightly less durable version...

Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

I believe this was the previous seller. The current seller is Dutch. If it is still for sale that is. I have trouble believing the $38k asking price back in July 2018. Even for a replica this would...

    Re: Tyre advice

I have a question regarding your advice for the 1600HF. The 640/SR13 ZX in 175x13.
How does this tyre compare to the XAS? I know the XAS is not available in 175/13 but when the 165x13 XAS tyres on...

    Engine was 818.540

Do you recognize the chassis number mentioned 818540002090?

    Re: Header bolt question

My HF has got the EVO cars manifold and that gives the same clearance problems. I opted for Alen bolts. With a special T-grip spanner you do not have to be on an 90 degree angle to turn the bolt as...

Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

    Hi Ed,
I'm afraid I cannot. I have just not spend enough time investigating it. I know that at first I was impressed to see a 'works' car but found out soon that it was a later conversion. I spoke...

Re: AUCTION: Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF Fanalone

I have seen this very car in an automobile exposition last January in the south of Holland.
it is a car which has been converted to historic rally spec in the 80's. It has been in Tenerife most of...

    Re: Mystery VIN

I believe the relocated fuel door existed already in 1966 with the first 12HF works.
See this photo of an ' Ufficiale' 1200HF as auctioned in 2015 in Milan.

That will be because you have a 1600 which has wider rear...

    Re: tyres 1600hf

Bear in mind that Ed's HF has got negative camber on the front. This is executed by shortening the top wishbones and lengthening the bottoms. This means that on stock Coupe suspension were the top...

    Re: tyres 1600hf

    Hi Richard,
Funny that you compare CN36 and XAS and declare the XAS as ancient. The CN36 is just as ancient as the XAS. But both are not as ancient as they might look as they both are modernized...

    Re: Fulvia steering box

This is not completely true. The normal stradale 1.3Hf had the normal Coupe box. For competition Flavia pitman arms were homologated. But I was alway told they were Flavia Sport pitman arms.
    can...
