HF Turbo IE Gearbox

Hi Everyone,

I currently own a 1991 Delta HF Turbo IE with a very tired gearbox. I didn't know whether it would be better to get a reconditioned gearbox (of the same unit), or is there an alternative box I can use? I'm sure I heard that a 2.0l Dedra unit can be fitted, and this can also be a bit "stronger" than the standard HF Turbo unit.

Any recommendations? How much would you expect to pay for a recon' gearbox? Got to find one yet, that will be fun !!!

I doubt the Dedra box will be stronger but it will have longer ratios overall. The Delta box is going to be better for a 1600.
