Hi,
I have 40s and 44s, I didn't know they made 42s.
The 40s have 35mm venturis, 120 mains and 180 airs.
The 44s had 34mm venturis, 140 mains and 205 airs. I've just fitted 37mm venturis - 2 from Pierce Manifolds in the US and 2 locally fabricated from one of the Pierce samples.
I'm 1500m above sea level, so my jet settings may not be applicable if you are at sea level.
The Pierce Manifolds site has good downloadable documents on basic carb settings. There are formulas for calculating jet sizes based on altitude.
Cheers, Simon
