To keep my weekends interesting I'm working a few cosmetic issues withthe scorpion. It's time to do the seats again (for the third time in my ownership of the car) and now I have a problem. On each side three bolts will come out and one is stuck fast (on the starboard side) and spinning (ie nut has come off) on the driver side. In both cases they are the front outboard bolts, and thus hard to attack.

I was thinking of taking a hacksaw blade and cutting off the driver side one. No ideas on the other yet.

How much of a hassle is it to attack from below?

Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe,
Back in April I had my seats redone and they were a pain to take out and put back in. I belive you should be able to cut the captine nut that the bold threads to from under the car, using a cutoff wheel. Replace the bolt and nut and you should be all set.

It appears that I have to cut a hole through the underbody to access the nut. Is there another way?
