Help me please. My 1.6 trevi has flwng problem:
car idles fine. when stepping on the throttle slightly it runs ok. with full throttle it runs ok too. anything in between and the car misfires.
I suspected a dirty carb, so bought a cleaning spray and sprayed very thoroughly. Carbs now shiny & pretty but no improvement in problem.
Any ideas???
Thanks

I would blow through all the carb jets with an airline or possibly even remove the carb and make sure everything is clear by using the same method

I would check the accelerator pump.
To do this, with the engine not running and the air cleaner off, look down the primary barrel of the carb. Move the accelerator linkage as if you were in the car and trying to make the problem occur. You should see a generous squirt of gas in the throat of the carb, this helps the engine run while the fuel supply transitions from the idle to the main jets.
If you don't see this extra squirt of gas, the carb needs to be overhauled.

I'd also check the vacuum advance - if it has one !

tks all for yr help.
already checked the accelerator pump, the supply of fuel is indeed very generous. so, the carb seems to work fine in this aspect.
i'm afraid it's not the vacuum advance too. i've taken it out but problem persists.
next stem is to blow some air in the carb. let's see.
the car has stood for some time. is there a possibility of dirt in the petrol tank being the problem? or maybe a blocked petrol filter?
