Have posted this in the non Lancia content but it may not get seen, there's more traffic here

Anyone have any ideas on what this thing is, it's on top of a building in the local port and was put there for an international commercial.

Believe this is one of the quite rare 2cv based fibreglass kit cars of the late fifties-early sixties.
The side styling is clearly influenced by the 1953 corvette and it's got karmann-ghia clues on the rear.
i'm sure i've seen something like it before, don't remember how it's called though.
try buying it for peanuts, it's unusual and should be fairly easy to restore and maintain with 2cv mechanicals.

Excellent thanks, I had thought it may be French for some reason, but I thought if it was a special it may not have been built in right hand drive. I'm going to see I can find who owns it, they may only want the cost of getting it off the roof.

I've spent almost all day searching everything I can think of and just can't find anyting about it. Maybe it's a home built thing, but it looks too well finished for that.

YOU ACTUALLY JUST NEED THE FIBREGLASS BODYWORK AND WINDOWS.
TAKE THESE APART FROM THE CHASSIS, BUY A SOLID LATE 1980'S 2CV AND PUT THEM ON. KEEP WHAT'S LEFT FOR SPARES.
IF IT'S ON THE ORIGINAL ENGINE, IT WILL BE 425CC!
LATE 2CV'S ARE 602CC WHICH IS A LOT BETTER TO DRIVE AND SHOULD BE A LOT OF FUN WITHOUT GETTING A SPEEDING TICKET EVER!

Well I've found out what it is and who owns it, it is a special but it based on a Topolino, not sure if it's made locally though. Thanks for your help anyway.
