Hi Guys

I've been a bit of an idiot in my haste to get my engine bay back together and have unplugged my ignition leads from the dizzy cap without marking them first. Looking at the following pic can anyone tell me which one goes where (I didn't remove the coil lead from the cap so I know where that one goes - No. 3?) It's a VX engine if that makes any difference.

Thanks
Richard

#2 on your cap in the picture is for the coil. Then renumber knowing that... the numbers should actually be on top of the cap if it's a Bobina or OEM brand.

Uh Trent,

"Bobina" is italian for coil. Not that this helps Richard, but it's why some caps say that, it's an indication of which terminal is for the coil wire.

Richard, the best way is to set engine to timing marks and see where the rotor is pointing, should be the inside terminal for #4, then go from there.

Oh duh! How sad... I actually knew that, and all these years, have never put 2 and 2 together! I guess that explains why it's always above the center terminal. LOL.

Thanks for the help guys - All sorted now (after plugging them in the wrong way round first time..Ooops!) For anybody else that makes the same silly mistake, the Order is as follows (using numbering on the dizzy cap picture above:

No.1 Cylinder 2
No.2 To Coil
No.3 Cylinder 4
No.4 Cylinder 1
No.5 Cylinder 3

8) In future you will leave the leads plugged into the cap, won't you?
