"SUE'S ZAG" was recently treated to all new CV boots, CV grease and steering rack boots. ( If you get those replaced as soon as you see cracks in the boots you will save an expensive rack rebuild. ) Come to think if it, that also applies to the CV joints. Back to the point. I noticed one rubber lower control arm bushing starting to show signs of wear and I plan on rebuilding a spare set of lower arms to install later this year. New tie rod ends, lower ball joints and possibly poly bushings for the A arms and sway bar. I'd like some opinions from those who have gone this route. Good and bad. Thanks in advance

Dan,

I put the Betaboyz bushings on my Zagato and I am VERY pleased. Obviously the old rubber ones were a bit tired, but I can say the bushings truly transformed the ride!

Hope this helps,
Dave

INstalled betaboyz bushings on Front. I have yet to do rear.
Car has a very nice set of fully adjustible Koni struts with coilover springs as some of you may know from earlier posts.
Tires are 215 * 16 * 40 No room left for anything!!

Although 4wheel alignment was done earlier, Koni struts installed, the car tried to track right requiring either sit in the L side of the lane or constant small pull on steering wheel.

Zagato now is more stable/ more planted. In addition nor she doesn't get sucked into road track grooves as easily.

Now she tracks very true, greater precision-consistency, I don't feel any added road shock, and no squeek sounds (lubricated on install).
Hanging into corners at speed feels effortless.

I am looking to install the rears to judge the difference.

Oh the install was quite easy.

Suggestions: Washing the heck out of the undercarage before instalation.
Take photos of your setup on the way out else you may be wondering what to do on the way back.
The docs are a bit... sparse.
Use some lube for assembly.
Install with new nuts and bolts (high quality) to include ball joints.
If your balljoints are old, get new ones with BB.

May be a nice time to replace your struts, brakes, rotors, brakelines to those Stainless ones...

Check all your nuts and bolts on engine etc when you are under there. I found an oil leak on the mounting bracket where the oil filter/ AC goes to the block.
fookin finger tight bolts. Retorked - how do you say FOOKIn Pissed off!

Thanks to Performance APEX for the bushing install!
