Everyone,

I'm headed down the path of removing the FI on my 82 Zagato and replacing with a Guy Croft manifold and Weber DCOEs. Has anyone else done this, and if so what hints can you give me on carburetors (45 vs. 40), choke tube sizes and jet sizes. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not much too it really. Remove all of the FI bits, replace the FI fuel pump with a low pressure one suited for a carb, and then pop the intake and carbs on. You'll probably have to cobble together some kind of throttle linkage unless the carbs came with a good kit that will work.

Whatcha gonna do with the FI bits? Want to part with them? ;)

Whatcha gonna do with the FI bits? Want to part with them? ;)Curses! Ye beat me to it... I've been eager to upgrade from my '79 Zag's "Cali garrote" setup (as you can prolly tell from various posts of mine lately... ), get me a bit (or a lot!) more power (and better fuel economy would be nice, too)... Ah well, I can't afford much of anything lately, let alone the extravagance of intake enhancements, so I oughta simply be glad I'm finally getting it running again (http://lancisti.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1292)!

It is a very easy thing to do. I've done it and I'm and idiot!
I am currently selling a set of dual DCNFs and manifold with throttle cable and stuff on eBay but not the kind of carbs you are wanting. Anyway, universal throttle cables and bracket sets in varying cable lengths and fittings can be purchased at about any speed shop. They run about $35 plus for a set. That is what I paid for the one in the set I am selling on eBay. Again,. it's an easy swap and while you will lose a lot of gas mileage over the FI, it will sound, look and feel much cooler and give ya a good boost of power.
