Hello,
Has anyone ever sourced replacement vinyl for the top of a Flaminia GT instrument panel? I had mine refurbished a couple of years ago, to rectify the sins of a left to right-hand conversion performed in the 70s when the car first came to Australia, but the restorer I engaged baulked at retrimming the dash in something resembling the correct material. (They didn't like the idea of having to remove the windscreen, as they'd had experience of this on Aurelias they'd done).

Quite prepared to have to remove the windscreen, good excuse to replace it and finish the dash top while I'm at it. Any thoughts?

Regards, MikeS

I haven't any idea where you could find it in Australia, but the original material is the vinilpelle (leatherette), a standard polivinylclorure tissue used for many '60s Italian cars.

Thanks for your response, it's good to know it's available somewhere. I ordered some Tolex (similar vinyl material) from the US to cover an extension speaker box for my guitar amplifier and it was no trouble (actually it was available locally but it was a third the price in the US). So if you know of a supplier I can contact, I can go from there.
Thanks again, Mike

They were both Lancia suppliers in the past.
