I'm trying to get hold of a good plastic replacement support bush for the inside of the manual steering rack on a S2 Beta. Have already tried Betacar but no joy. Can anybody help me?

We actually went into my friends factory he managed on the weekend and turned one out on a lath. He turned out a few extras but couldnt' get Bayless or any of the other Fiat/Lancia Vendors to order more than one or two so he didnt' keep making them. I'll check and see if he has any left but I dont' think he does so don't hold your breath

Not sure what you're talking about here, but just in case you meant the bushing at the inner end of the steering track-/tie-rod (like the ones on my ZF P/S-equipped Zagato) -- or in case anyone's wondering about those anyway:
You can either mill down some suspension polybushes to fit (a local shop trimmed down some MGB A-arm bushes to fit mine), which should last you forever, or I've heard that you may be able to find some common rubber coolant/heater hose that fits around your old bushings' metal center tube and into the end of the tie rod -- just cut the hose to size, lube it up and press to fit.

No, he isn't talking about the tie rod bushings, he is talking about the nylon bushing inside the actual steering rack that stabilizes the rack part to the pinion. They get old, brittle and fall apart making the rack and handling sloppy plus a heck of a rattle noise and vibration in the steering wheel when you hit bumps and such. I had the same problem with our 76 Coupe, hence the mid night run into the factory to use their lathe! ha ha They are actually very easy to turn out if you just have the right tools :D

Not sure, I went on a 82 Lancia Zagato rescue drive yesterday, (I bougt it cheap), it was 10 hours of driving/towing in heavy rain, winds, blizzard like snow and some places with minor flooding, man it was stressful!
Then today, I had to go out with my parents to help them find a new bicycle for my daughters 7th birthday this coming Friday and just got back, (it's still snowing like H-E-double hocky sticks around here, way too late for a snow storm damnit! ha ha), So, sorry but, I haven't had a chance to check with Mike yet on it. I swear I haven't forgoten you! :) I'll try to get to him tonight yet

I spoke to Andrew at Omicron a couple of days ago. He has got some of these bushes and one should be on its way to me shortly. Thanks for all your help - the system works.

Hello.
I have posted this in betaboyz forum, but I repeat here to get more help.
I have broken a rubber gaiter in the power steering of my HPE 2000, any idea to find a replacement? Somebody has proven a similar gaiter from another car?
Thanks.
