Hi Parisien,

This has been completely restored twice over the past 20 years, a member of our Lancia car club. Price guide is AU $ 150-180k. Would be none better in the world.

I think I would have to agree; it is an absolutely stunning car.
Do you know whether it picked up a prize at Motorclassica?
I just looked at the official website and it only lists the 2010 winners.
I was lucky enough to talk to the son of the owner and he was incredibly generous with his time and information.
Given the apple rarely falls far from the teee, the owner must be a true gent!

Hi Al,
I looked at the Bonham list and it is not even listed, suggesting it did not sell (or sold for an undisclosed amount after auction)?
I was surprised it was for sale.
The son was telling me it was all done in a shed over 30 years!
Makes my 19 year restoration look extremely rapid by comparison!
BTW; I have sent you a PM.

Very nice to see a sister car looking so good and fetching such a price. I wonder whether this car's restoration is documented anywhere on the web? Or, who did the restoration? I'd love to know.

Mine is B20S 1829, and was originally the same gunmetal grey. Aside from a repaint in '79, mine is a time-capsule 29,000 mile unrestored original. I wonder what condition 1813 was in before it was restored...

When I spoke to the owner's son he had a magnificent bound book showing the various stages of restoration carried out on the car, including some photos from underneath.
It really was stunning, and the time and effort in making good absolutely every item on the car was incredible.
The car was originally a dark blue colour, so the metallic silver / grey is not original but may be a genuine Lancia colour of the period perhaps?
Hopefully Parisien will find out more details and post them in due course.

The gunmetal grey of that Bonham's car looks pretty metallic and modern to me, whereas the original would have been a more silver-grey, as seen on the right half of my dash in the photo. That color was my orignal body color on 1829. Also, if we're getting picky, and with advance apologies because that car is a stunner, its upholstery is not correct (also see my original wool in the photo), and I've never seen carpets like those in an Aurelia. For sure, it's a beautiful car, but maybe over-enthusiastically restored. E.g., Lancia would never have gone to the cosmetic lengths as seen on 1813's engine.
