Hi,

The exhaust manifold on my Beta Coupe 2.0 IE had to be changed because it cracked.
My question is is it interchangeable with other models (Fiat?).
And between other Beta models? As I know there is plus pipe which trace back the air (?) on IE models and the holes seems to be smaller than on a carb model.
Am I right?
Can you advice something?

Thanks in advance

Let me check over the weekend - I have a "dismantled" 2.0 HPE (carb) and a complete engine set for 2.0 iE. Maybe the mainfolds are the same. To my eye - engines are the same. Why should Lancia make another mainfold? The mainfold maybe the different one for a VX model.

PS Do not you have welders, who could just weld it? My Ukrainian Alfa-Romeo brothers on Giluliettas, Alfettas and 75s usually weld mainfolds as a good used part is VERY hard to find. Argon welding does the job pretty well.

Thank you for your help!
I managed to get one from a fellow Lancisti in Hungary, so now it solved.
The original part has cracks on its contacting surface - it may cannot be welded.
But I am still interested in the compatibility question.

Thanks again

The manifolds from all beta models other than Monte Carlo will fit - they're all pretty much the same. The VX one is just made from a higher quality (Nitrox :?:) infused metal.
Sadly due to the inclination of the engine, no other FIAT group manifold will fit without either serious surgery to the mnaifold or the downpipes
