Rear brake calipers

I have just about finished cleaning my beta rear calipers. Can anyone suggest a good reason not to use a high melting point litium grease rather than the black stuff that Lancia used for the hand brake auto adjust?

Slightly related, were the little metal wedges the same on a beta and a Monetcarlo?

I use the Permatex "green gel goo" Disc Brake Caliper grease on the sliders.
