Does anybody have any recommendations on how to remove a Series 3 (+2?) Beta Steering Wheel? I've got a faulty light switch which I need to replace plus I've got a momo boss coming at some point soon so need to try and get the existing wheel off - I've tried various makeshift pullers but it just seems to be bending the metal I'm using. I had an aftermarket wheel on my last VX and I'm sure it wasn't as hard as this one to remove?!!?

Not sure how this might (not) work on your car or Betas in general, but I've had little problem removing wheels from other cars in the past by using a push-pull motion to "rock" the wheel until it works loose -- i.e., with your hands at 3 and 9 o'clock on the wheel, pull towards you with one hand while pushing away with the other, then reverse that, alternating until the wheel pops off or at least loosens enough to work the rest of the way off. Of course, you'll want to make sure any locking nuts, washers, etc. are removed first. ;):D

I also had no problems removing mine. Gentle whack or two with a rubber mallet and it was happy to come off pretty easily.

This thing was stuck solid - I tried using the mallet and rocking it off but no joy and made up a puller instead - I had to mangle the black plastic assembly inside the wheel boss (criminal I know!) to get 2 screws thru the wheel but did manage to get the thing off. The new wheel looks very nice plus I now have a working headlight switch. Thanks for the suggestions Tye & Chris
