I was supposed to attend but due to a family medical issue (now in its 3rd month) I was unable to attend (or really do much of anything including the forum :'( ). This is particularly frustrating as it was only an hour away from me.
If anyone attended could you post a quick report and maybe a few pictures so I can live vicariously through your experience?
Thanks
Dave

Yes, I went. Sorry you missed it! A very good, jolly event. Thirty-five or so people, several from Australia and New Zealand. A couple nice B20s, five or six Fulvia coupes, one Integrale, two Scorps and two Betas, an Appia sedan and Flavia convertible come to mind. A number of cars from a local Alfa club turned up for the Saturday morning "concours". My favorite Lancia was the Buckingham's S2 Fulvia coupe, pristine and original, in Lancia blue with a tan interior which looked yellow against the blue. Stunning really. Dick bought the car for Judy in Italy in '73. Her initials are on the doors. The roads around Hood River are quite entertaining though our morning Saturday drive was drizzly and chilly. Saturday afternoon some went to the Maryhill Museum, most to WAM, an extensive museum in Hood River of early planes and autos. Events were low key, the food particularly good. Early morning tire kicking, late night piano bar. There was a week long tour of Washington State after the weekend which we had to miss, and I haven't heard a report on that.

How does one find out about this event, seems like it's a very pre-internet-friendly group? Just searched now and there is next to nothing out there on it.

Pre-internet friendly - I like that. Nicely put. The ALC attempted and put up a website but wasn't motivated to make it effective. It's down and there's talk about a new effort. Club members do all the usual tech stuff online, but the club is still a real community around Lancia meeting mostly on the east and west coasts. I've been a member for nearly 30 years and always found it great fun. There were two Scorpions at this reunion, one a ('76) very clean and strong injection conversion. If you're interested I'd join. Dues are $45 which pay for Lanciana, the club magazine and an occasional roster of the members and cars. Of course, the real benefit is getting to enjoy the people. Membership contact is Neil Pering, club secretary, 27744 Via Ventana Road, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022. Email nc-es.pering@prodigy.net

Sean, I should have mentioned that the next year's West Coast reunion is outside Phoenix and put on by a couple who do a particularly great job. Looks like you will be closer than some of us! I may have to fly.

I know I've said this before, with nothing come of it, but there's a concerted effort to get a viable ALC web site up and running. The current state of affairs is an embarrassment.

This is good news, I can promise you I'll be able to attend. In a Lancia no less ;o]
