Hi gang,
I recently found my rear brake compensator (the inline thing in front of the rear subframe that adjusts rear brake bias) to be beginning to leak. Has anyone removed it and to what effect? I could easily replace it but would like to know the experiences of anyone who has simply deleted it. Seems like deleting certain complexities on these cars could make life easier down the road, but I really don't know how much difference it makes in daily driving or perhaps more importantly panic stops, Thanks!

Getting rid of it does NOT sound like a good idea to me. As far as I know, all modern cars have them and without it I'd imagine that you'd get too much rear braking with only the driver in the car. The effect would be pretty similar to applying the hand brake (e-brake) - with less weight on the rear wheels than the front, they would lock up very easily.
