Hello,

Anyone have good used or new fuel hoses for an 82 Beta Coupe with fuel injection? They are the send and return hoses that begin in the lower firewall on the passenger side and then travel to the engine. They are both crimped onto compression fittings and I am having trouble matching them at the local shops. The hoses say Conti 4Q 79 and are about 3 feet long.

Please help me!

Thank you,

Todd

I went to a specialty hose shop. Like a shop that makes hydraulic hoses
for semi tractor trailers. Gates 5RLA 5/16" [250 PSI working pressure]
F.I. hose is what they used. Those flared coupling skirts look as tho
they're crimped on but they're not. All four of the metal coupling tips
are barb fittings. Hose shops have special jigs to press the new hose
ends FULLY over the barbs all the way up into those skirts. I mean
ALL THE WAY! NO LEAKS! They weren't cheap but by God they're NEW.
Use WIDE hose clamps on the other hose ends. I used four clamps [2
per] on the two longgggg vertical metal fuel pipe risers. Of course
be certain the faces of the ground joint coupling [over the cam belt
cover] are CLEAN! Loosely tighten then tighten home, REALLY TIGHT!
