No connection to seller, etc., but this looks like an utter steal! Just look at those seats! I've half a mind to go up there myself for a look...

You must see this 1975 Fiat Lancia. It has its origial parts, original leather, NO CRACKS! Before my father passed away he kept it in great running condition. Since he passed it has been sitting, but with a little TLC it can be even more amazing! Call me to set up a time to see it 480-510-5457. I am moving and I don't have anywhere to put it when I move (less than 2 weeks) it MUST GO!

That car was for sale last year. It was a dark blue or black (hard to tell from photos) with the saddle colored leather interior, and said L A N C I A in gold letters across the bottoms of the doors. It needed some work -- I think it needed a starter, maybe (?), as well as some cosmetic things. Looked like a typical tired/dusty/faded southwestern car except for nice seats -- so nice I wondered if they had been reupholstered.

I hope it went to a good home!

Looks like the new owner just wants to flip it for a tidy profit -- asking $1700 OBO now, but better pics this time at least:

I have a 1975 Lancia Beta coupe
The car is complete down to the aluminum wheels, it was a definate barn find!

Car has been owned since same family since new, and been well preserved. I bought the car from the daughter, which it was her fathers car who passed away 3 years ago

The interior is Perfect! all original, the leather seats look amazing

I was told the car ran 3years ago before it was put away.

The car needs a tire to roll easier, as it was so dry rotted it fell apart.

I havent tried to start it, need to get a key made.

Car is an 1800cc, dual overhead cam

Cool little car!!

$1700.00 OBO

These are really hard to find!

Car will be sold with a bill of sale (as I purchased it) , title can be acquired from the family here locally

CL pics hosted long after the ad is removed.

Here's a couple of the current ones in case it sells.

In case anyone is curious... I bought it. It is complete, the seats really do look that good. It has some sun/heat damage but mostly a good car. Has been sitting for a long time and so needs all the things that cars in the desert need after sitting. Look for me in the Beta forum asking a million questions!

So.....the peanut gallery would love to know-- :) How much did you end up giving for it? :)

It's funny- when I had this 'other' Italian car and visited their forum, I used to get angry with owners who would not discuss how much they bought and sold their cars for. Now I guess I have to put my money where my mouth is.

I paid $2300. Now before you Coupe owners start seeing dollar signs, the car had some things done between when it was $500 and when it went on eBay- new tires, keys, the title was replaced, etc. Because I had been looking for a good solid Coupe and there were like 5 for sale across the country, when I found one only 10 miles down the road I didn't mind spending an extra couple bucks for convenience.

In my opinion, the car was probably worth $1800, and I paid an extra $500 to make my life easy.

It turns out that the engine turns over, not sure what the starter story was about. Once the fuel system has had all the crumbly bits replaced we will if it actually runs.

Congrats on the purchase, riddleguy!

I was tempted to buy that car about a year ago when the daughter had it. I was really afraid someone would buy it and scrap it for parts. I'm really glad to see it's been saved. I hope you enjoy recommissioning it! :)

As for overpaying, I did the exact same thing with my Scorpion. Most non-rusty Scorpions are 2000 miles away from me, so when exactly the car I wanted turned up only one state over, I made the guy an offer outside of eBay that I knew would close the deal. The extra I spent was worth the time, travel, shipping, and energy.

Cheers,

Tony

P.S. - It wouldn't hurt to post more pics of your Beta! :D

I was in phoenix last weekend and had the car not sold I was lined up to inspect and likely strike a deal on it. What pissed me off is that I made arrangements to see the car while in phoenix and two days later the guy puts it on ebay and referred me to the listing. As if there was any respect left to lose for this guy, I managed to lose the rest.

I wouldn't have paid what he was asking for it, especially after knowing what it previously sold for. I didn't care that he put tires on a non-running car...

All that aside, welcome to the community and don't be shy about sharing your experiences with the car as you bring it back to life.

Sorry you got burned, HF. I didn't know about anyone else lined up, I just clicked the button and it was mine.

Dont sweat it, you bought it fair and square. He was the d*ckbag not you. It's probably better I didn't meet that shady fool in person anyway.
