Hey guys, just signed up to these forums to ask for some help! so hopefully someone can answer my questions and if i get the answers i want i might be joining your community!

anyway, im planning on buying myself a (2nd) car soon, and have found these two beauties
http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2101108&current_rec=3&total_rec=6&sort_type=&make_id=398&state_id=-1&search_distance=25
http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2110814&current_rec=2&total_rec=6&sort_type=&make_id=398&state_id=-1&search_distance=25
I should probably explain that i am looking for a rather econimical daily driver with a bit of oomph when i need it, to do up (nice not rice)

so my questions are:
*which of these two is better?
*is either worth it?
*is the lancia beta what i am looking for in terms of ecomism and power?
*what kind of fuel do they take? leaded/unleaded...etc
*how much hp/kw do these cars make at the wheels?
*how hard is it to get parts or mechanics to work on a car like this is Australia?
*are there body kits for these cars? AND NO i dont mean ricer crap, ive seen a few beta's with a squarer gront and rear and havent been able to work out if they are different models or kits or what.

when [if] i get my car it will probably be painted, im thinking gun metal gray or black, i cant stand either of those two colors so thats not really a problem.

ok, well thanks for any answers you guys can help me with in advance.
if anyone knows of any other lancia's in relitavely good shape thats in my price range in Australia please give me a shout! im open to anything at the moment!

cheers, lazy

THAT is exactly what i want my lancia to look like. i cant find any information about it but it has the square body/kit i was talking about. is this a newer car? or the same as the ones i have available to me? does anyone know what model year it is? and know where i can possibly get one from? thanks again!

Actually the guy on Beta Boyz has a thread up saying 'wheres this kit on my car come from' because he doesnt know. To me it looks like its off an integrale, but its not a straightforward fitment certainly.

hey chrisc, we've just heard from him actually;

Bodykit: Modified M style kit for a BMW E30
Engine: Nissan SR20 2000cc.
Tranny: Automatic
Chassis: 7.5 x 17" Lenso 4-pcd100 with 2cm.adaptor 205/40 tyres.
Lowered by 2" by using adjustable struts with Eibach coil springs

im still unsure of what car it is as im not familiar with lancias yet to pick the differences

looking at the photos, which is not the best way to assess a car, the red one looks to be messed around with a lot whereas the gold one appears to have been intelligently modified, unlikely that either will qualify as economical though especially the gold one with those carbs

Those shitters are obviously past it whereas mine is available and worth the cash...

Series 3 coupe. Red, Simmons, new tyres, why pay for a lesser vehicle...

Hey ib83coupe, your link doesnt work! Do you mean this one?
http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2036242&current_rec=3&total_rec=4&sort_type=&make_id=398&model_id=2493&state_id=-1&search_distance=25

It is a very nice car, but may be a little too much for me, price wise.
As by the looks of it I can get about the same car for a few thousand less ...
(No offence ment)

Anyway, I'm just in the research stage of car buying at the moment. So maybe if you answer a couple of my questions ... I might be buying your nice beta some day soon! (If its still up for grabs that is :P )

Cheers, and I am still in desperate need of answers! please someone answer them for me!

Yep,

sorry about the link. It all comes down to what you want to pay for.
The series 3 was a different car in many ways to the early cars you mention in your first post. Its up to which one you like the most I guess.

ciao.
