I remember seeing that segment on Top Gear. 3 years to make the drawings, and 12 years to build the car, including 4 years on the engine. Simply stunning.

I am sure he could find a person to partner with to build a bionic driver/robot that would be radio controlled. That would be fun to see and would be simple compared to his endeavor.
