Looks pretty decent at first glance.

I'm always amazed at how many people can't figure out how to correctly mount an ANSA quad-tip, though.

Funny....I've always disliked the glass butresses.....if i got a late or series 2 car, I'd convert back to early butresses if I could.

The tips are supposed to point up slightly, not parallel to the ground. I think. I'd be all over this car like a cheap suit, but I just can't warm up to the color.

I've been watching that car. He had it listed either as a classified or buy-it-now before. Clearly it's not perfect, but he seems to be up front about its flaws and paint work. I really like it, color, buttresses and all. If I had room for one more car . . .

I don't like glass buttresses, and I don't like the solid ones either. Solid ones limit visibility and glass ones are a pain in the ass to keep clean. I prefer the 77 buttress minus the glass.

Finally found my pictures.

Here's how an ANSA should look when it's installed correctly.

To mount an ANSA exhaust correctly, you need to reverse the position of the muffler hangers on the car. I forget which way they point in the stock configuration (towards the front or the rear) but whichever way it is, you need to unbolt them and point them in the opposite direction for the ANSA. Whenever I sold a customer an ANSA way back in the 1980's I had a hand written instruction sheet on doing this. The original is most likely still in a box somewhere around here.

I've been after a pair of solid buttress panels for ages, condition is unimportant. I can swap for a pair of glass buttress arms and clear glass if required......
