Where is the engine number on a volumex, I can't find it anywhere?

As far as I know it is on the block, just underneath the right portion of the inlet manifold (that's with you standing in front of the car and facing it). You'll need a mirror and a torch to see it if the engine is in the car. Put the mirror of top of the starter motor, at the left end and angle it appropriately. You can illuminate the number by shining the torch on the mirror. Hope that helps, let me know if you need a photo.

Thanks, I'll look harder but might get caught pinching the wifes mirror. Imagine the excuse - I need to find the engine number, honest.
