I Have been asked by an elderly friend to offer his 1991 one owner [95000mls] car for sale as he does not want it to go to the local scrap yard,he has had to give up driving because of his sight.Sadly it has not been used for 3yrs but has always been garaged. Some welding has been done on rear wheel arches, but looks very tidy with good service record.Only 100mls since last mot.needs a good enthusiastic home.
Hope this finds its way onto the forum as this is all new to me I know
more about cars than computers!

Hello Michael,
Do you have any photos please, and whereabouts is the car, I assume Devon but where. and do you have you any idea how much he is asking for the Dedra.
Do you belong to the Lancia Motor Club as you could advertise it there as well.

Hi Brian,
Have not got any photos yet will try and put that right, can they be put on the ad? I think I could email them to you. The owner realy is a very nice chap who only wants the scrap price which we have been told is about £100,and that was my idea so that someone dosen'.t just pick it up and scrap it for the money!! He dose not want a lot of hasle so has asked me to make sure any one who wants to see it is realy interested. The car is about 15mls north of Plymouth. Neither the owner or myself belong to the Lancia club [I,m a vw golf fan!]
Thanks for your interest
Mike

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the information, I've just emailed a friend in the Lancia Motor Club who lives near Exeter and asked does he know of anyone, in fact I seem to remember that in a recent discussion on the LMC forum regarding Dedra's he was showing interest.
I'll send you a pm with my email address if you do have any photos you can send please of interior exterior and engine compartment, a chassis number would also be helpful to me if possible.

Sorry about the VW, I suppose we all have our crosses to bear:rolleyes:, only joking! in fact I used to work for an VW/Audi Dealership when I lived in Herefordshire, I'm probably unique in being one of the few people who had more than a limited experience of the Golf Ecomatic back in 1993,( it took a bit of getting used to as they were among the first cars with engine stop start facility) as my Company car for about 6 months, although not a salesman I was the only person who could demonstrate the model to customers, as no one else had any experience of driving one, eventually I got to like it very much, but we only sold one and shortly afterwards took it back as the customer couldn't get on with it, eventually VW withdrew them.
